Parasailing in Jaisalmer gives you a view of the desert that few visitors see: the dunes stretching away in every direction, camel caravans moving below and the light changing across the sand. Unlike parasailing at the sea, desert parasailing is towed by a vehicle across open ground near the dunes.

How desert parasailing works
You are fitted with a harness attached to a parachute canopy and a tow line connected to a vehicle. The crew explains what to do during take-off and landing. As the vehicle moves forward, the canopy fills and lifts you off the ground.
Once in the air, you simply sit back in the harness and enjoy the view. When the vehicle slows, you descend gradually and the crew helps you land. Height and duration are controlled by the operator and depend on conditions.
Weather and safety
Parasailing depends heavily on wind. Too little or too much wind, gusts or dust storms can mean the session is delayed or cancelled. The operator makes the final decision on the day, and we keep you informed.
Operators set weight limits, age rules and health requirements. Parasailing is not suitable during pregnancy or for people with heart, back or neck conditions. Please share each participant’s age and approximate weight when you enquire.
Private or group options
Each person usually flies individually, one after another, while the rest of the group watches and takes photographs from the ground. Some operators offer tandem flights. Group bookings are planned so everyone gets their turn before sunset.

Afternoon and early evening slots are common. Because of weather sensitivity, we suggest keeping your evening flexible and scheduling parasailing before a camel ride or dinner on the dunes.
